METROPOLIS (2018)

Through the prism of the psychological theory of personality installation Metropolis explores and shows the complexity of being in its existence, in its relation to itself and its surroundings.

What we call “the Self“ is usualy composed of subjective memory and multiple identifications of the person with the world around them. The web of circumstances and relationships established throughout life remain partly “inscribed“ in us. This sophisticated and changeable structure is constantly influenced by the environment, and we interpret it in line with the learned, often skewed, patterns.

If not only our memory and emotions, but also the majority of the cells in our body are constantly being replaced with new ones, are we still the same person? What is it that remains the same?

What is permanent?
